Site Surveys

A Site Survey is a detailed inspection of the premises where a project will be undertaken. We recommend that such a task is performed before undertaking any project.  The project manager discusses the requirements with the client.  The necessary information gathered is grouped under the following headings - location, equipment, power supplies, interconnections, installation materials and environmental considerations.  The report presented to client includes a plan and photos of the site.

Supply of Materials

Fibre optic cable, pigtails, patch chords, attenuators, patch panels, splice cassettes, cabinets, media converters, fibre switches, fibre test equipment and fibre tool kits.

Project installations are performed by our trained and certified team, composed of engineers, technicians, supervisors and installers.  Our team can embark on both small and large sized projects.  We also offer splicing services using high precision fusion splicers.

Testing & Commissioning

Our engineers perform end-to-end testing of the installed system within the client's network.  Recommendations laid down in the supplier's specifications are strictly adhered to.  Testing of the system involves both engineering and technician practices in order to ensure the integrity and performance of the system.  Typical tests include SAT, single ended or bi-directional OTDR and power loss test and also fault finding.

Tektraco can train your technicians and engineers who will operate the system after the handover.   We can offer you training at our offices or else on-site for a more personalised experience.  Training is arranged according to the nature of the telecom project, taking into consideration the particular training needs of your personnel.
